Adel Abdessemed Je suis innocent is published on the occasion of the artist’s major survey at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris (October 2012 – January 2013). On view in the exhibition are twenty-five works spanning from 1990 to 2012, including such seminal works as Décor (2011-2012), Telle mère tel fils (2008), Usine (2008), Bourek (2005) as well as a new large-scale bronze sculpture, Coup de tête, created especially for the exhibition and installed on the museum’s plaza. Available in hardcover and published in both English and French editions, this richly designed catalogue includes essays by the exhibition’s curator, Philippe-Alain Michaud, along with new texts by internationally renowned art historians, philosophers, and curators.
